We frequently litigate wage and hour claims brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and equivalent state laws, state minimum wage laws, and state unpaid wages law. We provide critical advice to our clients on employee classification and designation issues, such as the proper classification of employees as exempt from minimum wage and overtime pay, and the proper designation of workers as employees verses independent contractors. Additionally, we represent employers in wage and hour investigations conducted by the U.S. Department of Labor.
